For children under nine (9), we can help to make a lasting difference in your child’s life. Early intervention is designed to give kids and their families the support needed to give them the best possible start to life.

It involves the delivery and coordination of specialised supports and services, aiming to promote:

  • The child’s ongoing development

  • The wellbeing of the child and their family

  • The child’s engagement in their community

What is Early Intervention?

At The Allied Health Edit, Early Intervention services are delivered across two distinct roles. All work done by either role is family-centred, strengths-based, and backed by evidence and research.

Early Childhood Professionals:

  • Make up part of the team working to support the child

  • Provides support in the child’s everyday natural environment

  • Work closely with you, the team, and your child to achieve your child’s goals

  • Consultation and guidance on evidence-based practices in early childhood education and intervention

  • Have relevant qualifications and experience in early childhood development, and offer services based on sound evidence and research

Key Workers:

  • The main point of contact for you and any professionals working with the child

  • Assessment and early identification of developmental delays or challenges

  • Individualised intervention plans to address specific developmental needs

  • Ongoing support and coaching to implement effective strategies and interventions

  • Regular progress monitoring and adjustment of intervention plans as needed
