Job Description:
The Allied Health Edit is a Neuroaffirming practice based in Tenambit, NSW. We feature a multi-disciplinary team of passionate and dedicated professionals, striving to make a difference in the lives of our clients and their families through early childhood development, through to adulthood.
We believe in improving access to supports and empowering clients by embracing client-lead, strengths-based approaches to all interventions.

Our outreach programs seek to educate parents and educators in the community, increasing awareness of available supports, improving knowledge around childhood development milestones, and providing education to enhance accessibility in schools and daycare facilities.
We’re looking for motivated, compassionate professionals who are driven to create positive impact within their community (and with individual clients).

Responsibilities (General):

  • Coordinate and plan support/lesson content for clients and families using a strength based and family centered approach.

  • Develop or follow treatment/education plans in collaboration with other professionals or independently.

  • Coordinate and attend community visits (if relevant) to aid in the provision of assessments and supports for individuals or education and improved access for groups.

  • Complete and report on appropriate assessments for clients as aligned with your experience and qualifications.

  • Advocate for clients when interacting with external organizations in a manner consistent with your relevant professional body’s code of ethics, TAHE values and the NDIS Code of Conduct.

  • Provide support to clients and families (within the limits of your qualifications and experience) to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Document, coordinate, and communicate supports/education goals to families and internal and external stakeholders.

  • Meet job responsibilities by achieving positive outcomes for clients and families.

  • Contribute to or lead team projects including outreach and group programs.

  • Understand, implement, and adhere to NDIS policies and procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion and submission of required documentation, such as therapy plans, progress notes, progress reports, and NDIS compliance procedures.

  • Participate in regular team meetings as determined by the employer (to ensure best practices are followed).

  • Maintain necessary documentation for employment including credentials/accreditations and regulatory checks.

  • Familiarise yourself with and adhere to any Code of Ethics prescribed by relevant governing bodies.

  • Engage in required professional and personal development as well as regular supervision to demonstrate commitment to the maintenance of your professional knowledge.


    Requirements
    :

  • Appropriate Qualifications and Experience (in line with Australian Industry Standards and NDIS Registration Guidelines)

  • Registration with appropriate governing bodies (as dictated by profession)

  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

  • Valid Working with Children Check

  • Current Drivers Licence
